| The Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp No. 257 along with various sponsors host an annual Living History in Cobb Parr Park. The event is usually held the last of March or during the month of April. Re-enactors from as far away as Missouri come to participate. The number of re-enactors and spectators grows each year. |

There are artillery, cavalry and infantry demonstrations several times during the two-day event. A skirmish is held once a day, usually early afternoon on each day. A march to R. H. Munford Cemetery for a Memorial Service of the Confederate and Union soldiers buried there is a favorite time for the re-enactors. |
| The local area schools are contacted and participation of the students is encouraged. Several of the history teachers allow extra credit for the students who attend and fill out the questionnaire sheets. All who attend and participate has a good time. We look forward to seeing you there. |
