Breakfast In Touch
Seminars designed to aid Chamber businesses are offered periodically. "Breakfast in Touch" is usually held the third Thursday of every month. A nice variety of delicious breakfast treats, along with hot coffee and juice is available to give a chance for the Chamber members to get together and catch on the latest events.
Music on the Square
Every May and June, the City and Chamber host a free music festival on the historic square in Covington. The music begins at 7:00 p m and ends around 9:00 p m. A children’s music time is held during the half time activities. Local non-profit vendors have plenty of food and drink for sale. Bring your lawn chair for a relaxing evening of good music and visiting with neighbors.

The Tipton County Bar-B-Que Festival, home of The World's Oldest Bar-B-Que cooking contest, is held each year in Cobb Parr Memorial Park in October. Events for this festival include Memphis in May sanctioned bar-b-que cooking contest, a demolition derby, arts and crafts exhibits, a truck pull, live bands and many other fun activities. Since its origin in 1973, the festival has grown to be the main annual attraction in Covington. Teams from all over the mid-south come to Covington to compete in this three day event. Spectators have also grown in number. Tipton Countians know its bar-b-que time when they drive up Highway 51 and see the parking lots full. We hope you will come to the World's oldest Bar-b-Que to see the sights, smell the aromas and taste the foods Tipton Countians are known for.
