Mission Statement

The purpose of the Covington-Tipton County Chamber of Commerce is to coordinate the effort of business, industry and professions in maintaining and strengthening a sound and healthy business climate. The Chamber will provide creative business leadership and effective coordination of all interested parties in solving community problems and initiating constructive community action. It will sponsor aggressive programs of work and stimulate activities that will provide for full development and employment of our human and economic resources to create broad understanding and appreciation of the great opportunities in the Tipton County area, and to promote the advantages and assets of our community within the area, state, and nation.

The Covington-Tipton County Chamber of Commerce is a full-time organization that exists to generate new job opportunities in the manufacturing sector and to promote business and industry in Tipton County. The office is located at 106 West Liberty in Covington and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Chamber possesses a vast source of information that is free to the public. Among the things one can find are a county map, a real estate referral guide, statistics/demographics and a church directory. In addition to the above, you can also find materials involving Chamber member businesses and their services. In any given month, the Chamber sends out 50 plus newcomer packages containing information regarding Tipton County, Chamber businesses and requested materials, hosts the covington-tiptoncochamber.com Internet site, and answers e-mail daily.

Seminars designed to aid Chamber businesses are offered periodically. ‘Lunch-n- Learn Seminar Series’ is usually held the third Monday of each month.  The Chamber hosts many functions throughout the year highlighting its membership. Some of these are the annual “Women in Business” luncheon and the “Industrial Appreciation” golf tournament.
